Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Australian Three Nymphs by Frederick William Leist for AUD 2,400.00 (€ 1,358.01). This price was achieved in the auction The Ken and Rona Eastaugh Collection at Sothebys in Melbourne and was even below the estimate range of AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Frederick William Leist have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Early Editions in September 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,012.50 (€ 8,159.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Australian Three Nymphs von Frederick William Leist für AUD 2.400,00 (€ 1.358,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Ken and Rona Eastaugh Collection bei Sothebys in Melbourne erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick William Leist auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Early Editions im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.012,50 (€ 8.159,14).
