Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2004 Christies in London held the auction PORTRAITS, BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS, which included the work A Tempting Offer by Fred Millard. The price achieved of GBP 956.00 (€ 1,375.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Fred Millard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Latest News in April 2003 with an auction result of USD 9,560.00 (€ 7,785.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion PORTRAITS, BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Tempting Offer von Fred Millard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 956,00 (€ 1.375,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fred Millard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Latest News im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.560,00 (€ 7.785,02).
