Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Fred Yates achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. In the Fun 'n FrolicsPaintings From the Estate of Fred Yates auction, the work Sacrifice sold for GBP 832.00 (€ 955.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Yates achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pair of Still Lifes in October this year with an auction result of GBP 14,080.00 (€ 16,167.75).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Fred Yates erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fun 'n FrolicsPaintings From the Estate of Fred Yates wurde die Arbeit Sacrifice für GBP 832,00 (€ 955,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Yates erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Pair of Still Lifes im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.080,00 (€ 16.167,75).
