Auction result well in line with expectations

In October this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Fun 'n FrolicsPaintings From the Estate of Fred Yates, which included the work Tattooed Man by Fred Yates. The price achieved of GBP 1,024.00 (€ 1,175.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Yates achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pair of Still Lifes in October this year with an auction result of GBP 14,080.00 (€ 16,167.75).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Fun 'n FrolicsPaintings From the Estate of Fred Yates durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tattooed Man von Fred Yates zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.024,00 (€ 1.175,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Yates erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Pair of Still Lifes im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.080,00 (€ 16.167,75).
