Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Portrait of an elegant lady by John Strevens. The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 732.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by John Strevens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Meeting in the park in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,740.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of an elegant lady von John Strevens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 732,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Strevens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Meeting in the park im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.740,88).
