The work The Sluggard by Frederic Leighton was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,716.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederic Leighton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Golden Hours in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 3,274,500.00 (€ 3,930,468.55).

Die Arbeit The Sluggard von Frederic Leighton kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.716,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederic Leighton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Golden Hours im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.274.500,00 (€ 3.930.468,55).
