Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction Out of the Ordinary, which included the work At The Circus by Frederick Thomas Daws. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,229.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Thomas Daws - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Meurice' of Mannerhead - A Very Fine Poodle, which sold at auction in November this year for GBP 9,600.00 (€ 11,124.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Out of the Ordinary durch, in der auch die Arbeit At The Circus von Frederick Thomas Daws zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.229,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Thomas Daws mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Meurice' of Mannerhead - A Very Fine Poodle beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für GBP 9.600,00 (€ 11.124,31) versteigert wurde.
