Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work A view of a lake with mountains, late winter by Frithjof Smith-Hald. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,866.18), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frithjof Smith-Hald - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "D'apres Pluie", which sold at auction in November 2009 for SEK 200,000.00 (€ 19,074.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of a lake with mountains, late winter von Frithjof Smith-Hald zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.866,18) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Frithjof Smith-Hald mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "D'apres Pluie" beobachtet, die im November 2009 für SEK 200.000,00 (€ 19.074,30) versteigert wurde.
