In June 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A Beach by Frits Klein. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 9,987.50 (€ 4,800.46), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frits Klein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maternité: the artist's wife Marie Raymond and their son Yves Klein, which sold at auction in June 2017 for EUR 12,500.00.

Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Beach von Frits Klein zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 9.987,50 (€ 4.800,46) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Frits Klein mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maternité: the artist's wife Marie Raymond and their son Yves Klein beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
