Auction result well in line with expectations
The work untitled (abstract horse) by Fritz Scholder was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 512.00 (€ 472.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fritz Scholder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Dartmouth Portrait #8," 1973 in August last year with an auction result of USD 378,375.00 (€ 375,931.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit untitled (abstract horse) von Fritz Scholder kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 512,00 (€ 472,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fritz Scholder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Dartmouth Portrait #8," 1973 im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.375,00 (€ 375.931,45).
