Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Sunset at the beach in Skagen by Gustaf Adolf Clémens was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in September this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,500.00 (€ 335.18). Admittedly, works by Gustaf Adolf Clémens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Midsummer on the beaches of Skagen (Saint Hans) in June last year with an auction result of SEK 25,000.00 (€ 2,309.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Sunset at the beach in Skagen von Gustaf Adolf Clémens im September diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.500,00 (€ 335,18) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustaf Adolf Clémens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Midsummer on the beaches of Skagen (Saint Hans) im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 25.000,00 (€ 2.309,20).
