Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work German composition by Georg Muche. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,049.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georg Muche achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstrakte Komposition in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 75,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit German composition von Georg Muche zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.049,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georg Muche erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstrakte Komposition im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.000,00.
