A top price for George Dance The Younger
In January last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper, which included the work "The Nobodies" by George Dance The Younger. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,719.94), 32% above the upper estimate. With this result, "The Nobodies" is even the most expensive work of art by George Dance The Younger that we have observed at auctions so far.
