Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,611.00). Admittedly, works by George Edwards have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twelve Ornithological Studies, from A Natural History of Uncommon Birds in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,541.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ornithological studies, from A Natural History of Uncommon Birds von George Edwards wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.611,00) einen neuen Besitzer.
