Auction result well in line with expectations
The work coastal scene by George Feather Lawrence was sold in the The Wrobel Collection The Sea and the Shore auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. It changed hands for a price of AUD 492.00 (€ 298.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Feather Lawrence achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter Landscape, Bathurst in April 2003 with an auction result of AUD 9,400.00 (€ 4,793.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit coastal scene von George Feather Lawrence wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Wrobel Collection The Sea and the Shore bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 492,00 (€ 298,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Feather Lawrence erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter Landscape, Bathurst im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 9.400,00 (€ 4.793,39).
