Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in London held the auction British Impressionism, which included the work Audrey by George Henry. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,019.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Henry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Playmates in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 401,300.00 (€ 510,471.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Impressionism durch, in der auch die Arbeit Audrey von George Henry zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.019,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Henry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Playmates im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 401.300,00 (€ 510.471,14).
