Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Unknown by George Patten was sold in the Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Silver & Plate auction at Christies in London in July 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 312.00 (€ 463.39). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Patten achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cupid imploring time to spare beauty in February 2011 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,968.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Unknown von George Patten wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Silver & Plate bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 312,00 (€ 463,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Patten erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cupid imploring time to spare beauty im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.968,82).
