Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A kitchen still life with a barn owl by George William Sartorius. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,757.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by George William Sartorius have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2004 the work Still Life Of Game And Fruits On A Stone Ledge was auctioned for EUR 9,560.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A kitchen still life with a barn owl von George William Sartorius zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.100,00 (€ 5.757,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von George William Sartorius konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2004 die Arbeit Still Life Of Game And Fruits On A Stone Ledge für EUR 9.560,00 versteigert.
