This artwork by Georges Rochegrosse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2015. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Sémiramis, The Queen Of Assyria sold for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,695.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Rochegrosse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French The Chattering Birds in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 170,500.00 (€ 134,442.52).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Rochegrosse erzielte im September 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit Sémiramis, The Queen Of Assyria für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.695,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Rochegrosse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French The Chattering Birds im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.500,00 (€ 134.442,52).
