Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Moto-Fuite; Moto-Flirt; Bloques; and Le Gué by Georges Meunier for GBP 600.00 (€ 870.29). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Meunier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Trianon-Concert/Le Plus Beau Jardin, which sold at auction in January last year for USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,501.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Moto-Fuite; Moto-Flirt; Bloques; and Le Gué von Georges Meunier für GBP 600,00 (€ 870,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Meunier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Trianon-Concert/Le Plus Beau Jardin beobachtet, die im Januar letzten Jahres für USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.501,78) versteigert wurde.
