Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A busy village scene by Georgina Lara. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,682.14), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georgina Lara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rural Life, which sold at auction in March 2000 for GBP 4,025.00 (€ 6,693.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A busy village scene von Georgina Lara zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.682,14) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Georgina Lara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rural Life beobachtet, die im März 2000 für GBP 4.025,00 (€ 6.693,76) versteigert wurde.
