This artwork by Giacomo Guardi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in September 2020. In the Old Master & XIXth Century Art auction, the work Vue Du Castello Di San Felice Et Vue De La Lagune Avec L'Île San Secondo, Venise sold for EUR 7,150.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Guardi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice, A View Of A Regatta On The Grand Canal Looking Towards The Rialto Bridge, With The Palazzo Balbi To The Left in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 148,527.04).
