Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boat by Gideon Rubin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,146.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gideon Rubin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Ribbon, which sold at auction in December 2015 for USD 17,500.00 (€ 16,115.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boat von Gideon Rubin kam im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.146,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gideon Rubin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Ribbon beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für USD 17.500,00 (€ 16.115,66) versteigert wurde.
