The work Stella by Gilberto Zorio was sold in the 20th Century Masters | A Private CollectionFontana to Baselitz auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 74,060.00 (€ 86,193.09), 48% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gilberto Zorio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2016 for GBP 281,000.00 (€ 313,042.51).

Die Arbeit Stella von Gilberto Zorio wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Masters | A Private CollectionFontana to Baselitz bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 74.060,00 (€ 86.193,09) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gilberto Zorio mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für GBP 281.000,00 (€ 313.042,51) versteigert wurde.
