In September 2013 Koller held the auction Gemälde Alter Meister, which included the work Anbetung der Könige. by Giovanni Battista Castello. The »bidding war« ended at CHF 43,200.00 (€ 35,300.48), 23% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Battista Castello - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Adoration Of The Magi, which sold at auction in January 2014 for USD 100,000.00 (€ 74,074.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2013 führte Koller die Auktion Gemälde Alter Meister durch, in der auch die Arbeit Anbetung der Könige. von Giovanni Battista Castello zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CHF 43.200,00 (€ 35.300,48) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Castello mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Magi beobachtet, die im Januar 2014 für USD 100.000,00 (€ 74.074,07) versteigert wurde.
