The auction ended at the price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 21,958.67), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Salvi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna and Child embracing in an interior, a landscape with Saint Joseph beyond in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 551,844.05).
