Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Crotti di Bondo (Unter den Kastanien), 1919 by Giovanni Giacometti was sold in the Swiss Art auction at Christies in Geneva in December 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 420,000.00 (€ 282,705.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Panorama von Flims. 1904. in June 2016 with an auction result of CHF 4,045,500.00 (€ 3,744,801.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Crotti di Bondo (Unter den Kastanien), 1919 von Giovanni Giacometti wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Swiss Art bei Christies in Genf versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 420.000,00 (€ 282.705,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Panorama von Flims. 1904. im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 4.045.500,00 (€ 3.744.801,12).
