Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Village Street In The Suburbs Of Paris by Giuseppe Canella was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 5,625.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Canella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Corsia Dei Servi, Milan in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 175,000.00.
