Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Grande Ritratto Di Signora Con La Pelliccia by Giuseppe De Nittis was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in December 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 36,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe De Nittis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian l'Arc De Triomphe, Paris in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 548,750.00 (€ 624,923.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Grande Ritratto Di Signora Con La Pelliccia von Giuseppe De Nittis im Dezember 2008 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 36.750,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe De Nittis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian l'Arc De Triomphe, Paris im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 548.750,00 (€ 624.923,87).
