Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Views of the Bay of Naples from the West by Giuseppe Gustavo Scoppa was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,121.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Giuseppe Gustavo Scoppa have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2003 the work Carriages and figures on the Via della Riviera di Chiaia, Naples was auctioned for GBP 3,995.00 (€ 5,835.06).
