Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,677.94). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gordon Parks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work American Gothic, Washington D.C., which sold at auction in October last year for USD 21,420.00 (€ 21,562.31).
