Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Getting Ready to Go by Gordon Phillips for USD 1,638.00 (€ 1,349.81). This price was achieved in the auction Majestic America: Property from an Important Western Collector at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gordon Phillips - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Enemy Camp, which sold at auction in March 2021 for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,218.94).

Im Januar 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Getting Ready to Go von Gordon Phillips für USD 1.638,00 (€ 1.349,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Majestic America: Property from an Important Western Collector bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gordon Phillips mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Enemy Camp beobachtet, die im März 2021 für USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.218,94) versteigert wurde.
