The work Landschaft bei Maloja, 1942 by Gottardo Segantini was sold in the Schweizer Kunst auction at Christies in Geneva in March 2002. The »bidding war« ended at CHF 70,800.00 (€ 48,285.65), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gottardo Segantini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blick Ins Oberengadin, 1947 View Into Upper Engadin, 1947 in November 2008 with an auction result of CHF 422,500.00 (€ 273,589.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landschaft bei Maloja, 1942 von Gottardo Segantini wurde im März 2002 in der Auktion Schweizer Kunst bei Christies in Genf versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CHF 70.800,00 (€ 48.285,65) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gottardo Segantini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blick Ins Oberengadin, 1947 View Into Upper Engadin, 1947 im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 422.500,00 (€ 273.589,88).
