Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pooch by Grant Wood was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 58,911.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grant Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study for "February" in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,058,500.00 (€ 760,471.30).
