Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Gu Mei was sold in the Contemporary Ink Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,603.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gu Mei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Cliff, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,609.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Gu Mei wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.603,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gu Mei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Cliff beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.609,22) versteigert wurde.
