Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jiang Nan Scenery by Gu Mei was sold in the Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 49,560.00 (€ 5,832.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gu Mei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Cliff in April last year with an auction result of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,609.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jiang Nan Scenery von Gu Mei wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 49.560,00 (€ 5.832,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gu Mei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Cliff im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.609,22).
