Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Ink Art, which included the work Rain No. 383 by Gu Mei. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,841.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gu Mei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Cliff in April last year with an auction result of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,609.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Ink Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rain No. 383 von Gu Mei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.841,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gu Mei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Cliff im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.609,22).
