Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Guido Schmitt could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Portrait of a lady, bust-length in a black dress with white lace collar changed hands for GBP 336.00 (€ 487.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Guido Schmitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Queen Victoria im Ornat in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 3,870.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guido Schmitt konnte im Juli 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, bust-length in a black dress with white lace collar für GBP 336,00 (€ 487,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guido Schmitt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Queen Victoria im Ornat im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.870,00.
