Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Guillaume Courtois could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work A male nude standing changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,034.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guillaume Courtois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ceres At A Fountain, Attended By Putti in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 163,250.00 (€ 201,332.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guillaume Courtois konnte im Januar 2018 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings wechselte die Arbeit A male nude standing für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.034,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guillaume Courtois erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ceres At A Fountain, Attended By Putti im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.250,00 (€ 201.332,59).
