Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 81,250.00 (€ 66,631.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Admittedly, works by Guillermo Kuitca have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diarios (2000-2005) in November last year with an auction result of USD 567,000.00 (€ 549,258.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Corona De Espinas von Guillermo Kuitca kam im Mai 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 66.631,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guillermo Kuitca auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Diarios (2000-2005) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 567.000,00 (€ 549.258,94).
