Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Azul-Verde-Naranja by Gunther Gerzso was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2008. It changed hands for a price of USD 79,000.00 (€ 50,771.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gunther Gerzso have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paisaje legendario (Azul y naranja) in May last year with an auction result of USD 529,200.00 (€ 493,150.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Azul-Verde-Naranja von Gunther Gerzso kam im Mai 2008 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 79.000,00 (€ 50.771,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gunther Gerzso auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paisaje legendario (Azul y naranja) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 529.200,00 (€ 493.150,68).
