Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Mitología by Gunther Gerzso for USD 75,000.00 (€ 63,699.68). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Gunther Gerzso have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paisaje legendario (Azul y naranja) in May last year with an auction result of USD 529,200.00 (€ 493,150.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mitología von Gunther Gerzso für USD 75.000,00 (€ 63.699,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gunther Gerzso auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paisaje legendario (Azul y naranja) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 529.200,00 (€ 493.150,68).
