Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work Adam and Eve by Gustav Adolf Mossa. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,764.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gustav Adolf Mossa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Baiser D'Hélène in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 43,550.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Adam and Eve von Gustav Adolf Mossa zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.764,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustav Adolf Mossa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Baiser D'Hélène im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 43.550,85).
