Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rue à St. Lunaire by Gustave Loiseau was sold in the Modern Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in July last year. The price achieved of USD 50,400.00 (€ 49,402.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Loiseau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'hôtel de Mademoiselle Ernestine, Saint-Jouin (Finistère) ou Le verger de Mademoiselle Ernestine, Saint-Jouin in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 774,000.00 (€ 685,744.66).
