Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in London held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work Bateaux amarrés au bord du rivage by Gustave Madelain. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,150.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustave Madelain - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Moulin Rouge, Paris, which sold at auction in April 2015 for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,149.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bateaux amarrés au bord du rivage von Gustave Madelain zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 2.150,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gustave Madelain mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Moulin Rouge, Paris beobachtet, die im April 2015 für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 5.149,61) versteigert wurde.
