In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Portrait of A Gentleman, Three-Quarter-Length, In A Black Cloak, A Red Doublet With Slashed Sleeves, And A Black Cap, Gloves In His Left Hand, A Letter In His Right sold for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,693.01) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Eworth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Joan Thornbury, Mrs Richard Wakeman | 《瓊・桑伯里，理查德・韋克曼夫人肖像》 in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 983,000.00 (€ 1,098,098.61).
