A top price for Hans Gissinger - as previously expected

The work Muscle No.5 by Hans Gissinger was sold in the Sport in Art Auction auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 27,500.00 (€ 2,797.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Muscle No.5 is the most expensive artwork by Hans Gissinger that we have observed at auctions so far.

Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage

Die Arbeit Muscle No.5 von Hans Gissinger wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion Sport in Art Auction bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 27.500,00 (€ 2.797,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Muscle No.5 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hans Gissinger, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
