Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Harriet Whitney Frishmuth could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Peter Pan changed hands for USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,552.07) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harriet Whitney Frishmuth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vine in May 2009 with an auction result of USD 962,500.00 (€ 681,367.69).
