Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Greek Dancers (Second Version) by Harriet Whitney Frishmuth. The price achieved of USD 5,355.00 (€ 5,187.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harriet Whitney Frishmuth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vine in May 2009 with an auction result of USD 962,500.00 (€ 681,367.69).
