This artwork by Harry Bertoia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. In the BERTOIA: The Sonambient Barn Collection auction, the work Untitled (Sonambient) sold for USD 113,400.00 (€ 100,194.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harry Bertoia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Screen From One Marine Midland Center, Buffalo, New York in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 790,000.00 (€ 747,964.40).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Harry Bertoia erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion BERTOIA: The Sonambient Barn Collection wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Sonambient) für USD 113.400,00 (€ 100.194,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harry Bertoia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Screen From One Marine Midland Center, Buffalo, New York im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 790.000,00 (€ 747.964,40).
